Guitar effects pedals come in all shapes and sizes. They have one primary goal – to alter the sound that your guitar produces.

If you have a guitar with a Floyd Rose tremelo system then you may struggle with changing the strings. I have written and article on how to do this over at the Forums

If you decide to have different guitar effects pedals but you still use the guitar amplifier’s overdrive then you will benefit in utilising the effects loop.
Most guitar amps have an effects loops but it is worth making double sure regarding this before you actually buy a guitar amplifier. (more…)
